Stapleton Transfer Center/park-n-Ride Relocation
On August 22, 2010, the Stapleton Transfer Center/Park-n-Ride closed and an interim Park-n-Ride opened at 36th Avenue/Ulster Street.
The Forest City Development Corporation has plans for redevelopment of the area surrounding the Stapleton Transfer Center/Park-n-Ride. The development plans required RTD bus operations and Park-n-Ride facilities to move from Martin Luther King Boulevard to a nearby location that will be constructed by Forest City. This interim Park-n-Ride is located on 36th Avenue between Ulster Street and Central Park Boulevard. The future Central Park Boulevard Station will be located adjacent to Smith Road between Ulster Street and Central Park Boulevard.
