Rail Closure at County Line and Lincoln Stations March 16-26

What: E/F/R Line Multiple Day Closure
Where: County Line Station, Lincoln Station
When: Friday, March 16 at 9 p.m. to Monday, March 26 at 3 a.m.
This closure is weather dependent and may change.

Closure details:
  • Due to maintenance and construction work, there will be no light rail service at County Line Station and Lincoln Station during this time.
  • Limited bus shuttle service will be provided at the Dry Creek, County Line and Lincoln stations, but please allow for an additional 30-45 minutes travel time. Additional information about bus shuttle service is provided below.
  • Riders are encouraged to use stations north of County Line Station or seek alternate means of transportation.
  • Additional paved parking spaces will be available at the Park-n-Ride for Arapahoe at Village Center Station. The Arapahoe Park-n-Ride is on the east side of I-25, adjacent to the pedestrian bridge for the Arapahoe at Village Center Station.
  • Normal light rail service will be available north of Dry Creek Station during this time.
  • During the closure, the Lone Tree Link, RTD Call-n-Ride services, and RTD bus routes 403, 483, and 402L will continue to operate under normal schedules.

RTD has partnered with ride-share service LYFT to offer reduced-price rides during the 10-day closure of Lincoln and County Line stations. From 6:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, to 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 26, LYFT is offering 20% off each ride, up to 5 rides to/from Dry Creek Station. Use code DRYCREEK20. Key information about bus shuttles:
  • In order to provide alternative means of transportation for light rail customers, there will be limited bus shuttle service
    service between Lincoln, County Line and Dry Creek stations.
  • Buses leave from both stations (Dry Creek and Lincoln).
  • Fares will not be collected on the buses.
  • Customers can purchase light rail tickets at Dry Creek Station.
  • Ticket vending machines at Lincoln and County Line Stations will not be in service.
  • Trip times will not match current light rail schedules.
  • Service will be provided by RTD through a variety of charter companies. Customers should look for charter company vehicles as RTD buses will not be used for this shuttle service.
  • Dates for closure are weather-dependent and subject to change. To receive project updates and notifications, please keep checking the RTD website at rtd-denver.com.

Bus shuttles routes:
  1. Express route will leave Dry Creek Station Panorama Circle Gate B, and travel non-stop via I-25 to and from Lincoln Station Gate E. The Express route between Dry Creek and Lincoln will operate every 30 minutes (:00 and :30) between 5-10 a.m. and 2-7 p.m.
  2. All-Stop route will leave Dry Creek Station Panorama Circle Gate B, travel to County Line Station Gate C, and then to Lincoln Station Gate E. The All-Stop route will operate every 30 minutes (:15 and :45) throughout the service day between Dry Creek and Lincoln stations, stopping at County Line station along the way. Weekday hours are Monday-Friday from 4:15 a.m.-12:45 a.m. the following day. Weekend hours are Saturday, 4:15 a.m. through Sunday, 3:15 a.m.

    5:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. - Express route

  • 3/24 4:15 a.m. Saturday-3:15 a.m. Sunday - All Stop route
  • 3/25 4:15 a.m. Sunday-12:45 a.m. Monday - All Stop route

Last bus leaves 12:45 a.m., Monday from both terminals. Rail service will resume on Monday morning at regularly scheduled
times.


Additional Details:

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) Lincoln and County Line light rail stations are closing to enable Southeast Rail Extension project contractor Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc., to tie together existing rail and the new, 2.3-mile extension of the E, F and R lines south of Lincoln Station. The two-mile stretch closing will also accommodate bridge work by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
