Downtown Denver festivals to cause RTD detours and temporary service disruptions this weekend

The Juneteenth Festival and Parade and Pridefest Festival and Parade will cause detours and service disruptions for some Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus and light rail routes the weekend of June 17-18, 2017.

Juneteenth Festival and Parade: The light rail service for the northernmost portion of the D Line will temporarily halt at 18th & California streets due to detours in the area during the Juneteenth celebrations in Five Points from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

The route 12 will have a minor detour around 26th/Downing for the Juneteenth Parade at 10 a.m. From the 18th & California Station. From that point, RTD shuttle buses will pick up passengers at the effected stations and continue near the light rail route to the 30th & Downing station. Riders are encouraged to allot extra time for travel.

The following stations will be affected by the detour:

  • 18th/California
  • 20th/Welton
  • 25th/Welton
  • 27th/Welton
  • 30th/Downing
