RTD Emergency Response Drill on Thursday, Oct 6

RTD, in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Intermodal Security Training and Exercise Program (I-STEP), will conduct an emergency response drill on Thursday Oct. 6, 2016. The drill will be for an active shooter situation and will take place at the future G Line 41st & Fox station.

The RTD Full-Scale Exercise (FSE) is to coordinate a multi-agency law enforcement response to an active shooter and hostage situation onboard a rail car and to include regional Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams and other first responder organizations in the metro area. In addition, the drill will simulate real-life conditions to test coordination and communication between on-scene responders, RTD operations staff, RTD Transit Police and support personnel.
