61st & Pena Lot Closure

Denver International Airport, the owner of the lot, is closing the lot for construction and repaving through December 2016. Street parking is available on 60th Avenue, 61st Avenue, Panasonic Way, and Richfield within easy walking distance of the rail station.

The station is still open and operable, including all sidewalks and accessible ramps. Handicapped parking spaces are clearly marked and are available for handicapped permits only.

1.4.17 Update:
Approximately 200 spaces on the north end of the lot have opened to the public. The lot entrance is in the northeast corner of the lot so patrons are welcome to park anywhere in the un-fenced north two rows and perimeter parking in that area, still currently at no charge with no time limits. Construction fencing within the lot is restricting access to the southern portion of the lot that is still closed to the public.

There is an ADA accessible sidewalk from this open parking area along the west edge of the parking lot all the way to the platform.

Construction is expected to completed by the end of February.

Street parking is still available. Reserved handicap sticker parking is allowed on the streets surrounding the platform through the completion of construction.

Patrons are reminded that the Denver Police will ticket parties parked illegally in handicap spaces, on the plaza, on sidewalks, and near fire hydrants.
