A commuter rail update from RTD
Posted on 03.07.19
A test train will be operating on the G Line early tomorrow morning, between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday, March 8. Doing so enables further testing of the positive train control (PTC) system along this line, which extends from downtown Denver through Adams County, Arvada and Wheat Ridge. During this work, operators are required to sound their train horns when approaching railroad crossings, as required by federal regulations.
G Line testing otherwise remains on the schedule previously announced: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. RTD is always mindful of the impact that testing has on the public, and we aim to limit this work to only what is necessary.
RTD appreciates the public’s patience as work progresses on this commuter rail line.
