Proposed August Service Changes
August 26, 2018
At RTD, we're committed to building and operating the most productive, efficient transit system for the communities we serve. Every day, activities occur within our community that can affect our transit system – traffic patterns, economic factors, ridership and customer feedback. We respond by making changes to our bus and rail system three times a year. These changes help to improve our service by maximizing the efficiency of existing resources, reducing duplication of service, and making better connections with bus, rail, and specialty services.
These services changes will take effect on August 26, 2018.
RTD has scheduled seven (7) public meetings to discuss service changes proposed for August 26, 2018. These meetings are designed to inform the public and to obtain input on the proposed changes. Find all meeting dates, times and locations at http://www.rtd-denver.com/servicechanges-august2018.shtml
Route 27: It is proposed to separate the operation of Route 27 into two routes, the 26 and 27 routes, and discontinue service between the Englewood Station and University Hills. The new Route 26 West Yale Avenue would operate between Southwest Plaza and the Englewood Station as the former Route 27. The Route 27 East Yale would operate between University Hills and Ulster – Tufts as the current routing.
