For projects too small for the formal bid process, RTD buyers use the Bidders List (an internal database) to find companies providing the required products and services. RTD buyers contact these companies directly to request bids.

• Request for Proposal No. 19FH004 Electronic Registering Farebox System Including Installation, Training and Support was issued on Monday, April 6, 2009. RTD has specified a DBE goal of Nine percent (9%) for the work to be performed. A pre-proposal briefing was held at the RTD Administration Offices on Monday, April 20, 2009. Two (2) Proposals were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Friday, July 10, 2009 from GFI Genfare and Scheidt & Bachmann and are being evaluated.
• Invitation for Bid 20DH008 Oracle Identity Management Licenses was issued on Monday, May 24, 2010. Three (3) Sealed Bids were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Monday, June 21, 2010 as follows: DLT Solutions $194,199.68; Arisant Business Solutions $223,230.72; SofTec Solutions $173,263.08 and are being evaluated. The Bid from SofTec Solutions has been withdrawn. All Bids were deemed “non-responsive” and the IFB has been cancelled. A new solicitation will be advertised in the future.

Five (5) Proposals were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Monday, July 26, 2010 as follows: Connetics Transportation Group, Perteet Inc., Transportation Management & Design, AECOM Transportation, Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates. Contract to be awarded to Transportation Management & Design in the amount of $118,429.50 upon the approval of the General Manager.
• Invitation for Bid 20DJ005 Replacement Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers and Monitors was issued on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Three Sealed Bids were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from CounterTrade, $140,801.80; Pitney Bowes $121,847.64; Reality Technology $232,710.27. The bid submitted by Pitney Bowes was declared non-responsive. Award is being made to CounterTrade Products, the low, responsive, responsible bidder.
• Request for Proposal 19FH018 Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) System, Data Radio Replacement System and Voice Radio Integration was issued on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Option 1. Option to purchase up to 210 additional Mobile Radios and 60 additional Portable Radios. Option 2. Option to purchase up to 115 additional onboard equipment units. Option 3. Option to purchase additional Contractor-provided software licenses to includes two (2) fully functional CAD/AVL licenses, ten (10) Desktop Display licenses, and two (2) Remote Dispatch Application licenses. Option 4. Additional hardware warranty years: Option for one additional three (3)-year extended warranty following the completion of the standard warranty period. Option 5. A Pre-bid conference was held at the Regional Transportation District Administrative Offices on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Two (2) Sealed Bids were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from Sturgeon Electric $319,785.00 and Technology Constructors $263,170.00 and are being evaluated.
• Request for Quotation 10MR009-1 Treasury Door Replacement was issued on Friday, July 23, 2010. A site walkthrough was held at the Treasury Facility, 3301 Ringsby Ct., Denver, CO at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Award is being made to Construction Concepts, Inc. in the amount of $17,837.00.
• Request for Proposal 10DM002 Snow Removal Services at Downtown RTD Facilities was issued on Friday, July 9, 2010. A Pre-proposal briefing was held at the Regional Transportation District Administrative Offices on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Six (6) Proposals were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from Carnation Building Services, L & M Enterprises, All Phase Landscape, ACC Snow Removal, Wash–On-Wheels, Premier Grounds Maintenance and are being evaluated.
• Invitation for Bid 20DO029 Pre-Employment, Recertification Physicals and Assessment Services was issued on Monday, July 26, 2010. Six (6) Sealed Bids were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Monday, August 16, 2010. Two (2) Bids were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from Faris Machinery Company $154,230.00, MacDonald Equipment Company $144,690.00. Contract to be awarded to MacDonald Equipment Co. in the amount of $144,690.00.
• Invitation for Bid 10JB002 Platte Compressor Replacement Project was issued on Monday, August 2, 2010. A Pre-bid conference was held at the Regional Transportation District Platte Facility, 3333 Ringsby Ct., Denver, CO 80216 at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010. • Request for Proposal 10DY001 FasTracks IT Desktop Support Consultant was issued on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Ten (10) Proposals were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Thursday, May 27, 2010. Proposals received are from ClientSolv, Ciber, Sapphire Technologies, CounterTrade Products, DataMan USA, 22 Century Technologies, Coolsoft LLC, Technology Integration Group, Connecting People, Abacus Management Inc. Three year Contract Award to DataMan USA in the amount of $246,000.00 was approved by RTD Board of Directors on July 20, 2010. Contract was reopened because the selected consultant decided to accept another position. Five (5) Proposals were received on Friday, August 20, 2010 and are being evaluated.
• Request for Quotation 10KN007 New Small 4X4 Utility Passenger Utility Vehicle (3 each) was issued on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Six (6) Quotations were received by the Contracts Division at RTD on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from: Transwest GMC Truck (GMC) $82,968.00; Pro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (Jeep) $57,417.00; Perkins Motor Company, Inc. Bidders List
It is not mandatory to be on the Bidders List to do business with RTD; however, if you are on the Bidders List, your company will be placed in a database that the buyers use to find companies providing the required products & services. Get on the Bidders List. Please access this page once a week for current information about RTD solicitations.
Some RTD solicitations have DBE or SBE goals, as outlined in the DBE and SBE Program Information pages. It is recommended that you print out copies for the your reference.
All solicitations with DBE or SBE goals will include a detailed explanation of the DBE or SBE program requirements, which must be followed by the Prime Contractor. You can download PDF files of the DBE and SBE Prime Contractor Program Requirements.
It is recommended that the RTD Prime and Subcontractor Payment Report spreadsheets be used for all current and future monthly payment reports for all contracts with designated DBE or SBE goals. If the RTD Prime and/or Subcontractor Payment Report spreadsheets are not used for monthly reporting the Small Business Opportunity Office will not be responsible for accurately recording your information.
Only DBE and SBE subcontractors need to be listed on the Prime Contractor Payment Report spreadsheet.
