With five new transit lines opening in 2016, it was time for RTD to revise its fare structure for 2016. We conducted a comprehensive fare study to collect public feedback and developed fare recommendations, which have been approved by the Board of Directors to be implemented on January 1, 2016.

One way fares, Regular/Discount*

** Children ages 15 and younger ride for free on SkyRide when accompanied by an adult (limit of three children for each fare-paying adult).

EcoPass holders pay $2.50 each direction for SkyRide service to and from DIA. EcoPasses issued by DIA employers are exempt from this fee. No fee is charged when traveling from the Airport Blvd/40th Ave or the Stapleton Park-n-Ride to DIA..

Access-a-Ride fares range from $4.50 to $26.00 depending on the level of service.


Call-n-Ride fares are always a local fare, $2.25, within a single Call-n-Ride service area.


SeniorRide fares range from just $2.25 to $10.00 depending on the level of service.

Discount fares

*Discount fares apply to all seniors 65+, individuals with disabilities, Medicare recipients, and students in elementary, middle and high school, ages 6-19. Proof of eligibility is required when boarding. Seniors and individuals with disabilities may obtain a special discount card. Children five years of age or younger ride free (limit of three children for each fare-paying adult). Active duty members of the U.S. military currently ride for free on all RTD services.

Non-profit agency reduced fare program

RTD's Non-Profit Agency Reduced Fare Program offers reduced fares to eligible 501(c)(3) non-profit or governmental community/social service organizations that provide assistance to low income individuals.
